Statement:
I am a painter living and working in Columbus, Ohio, USA. I have exhibited my work in galleries and art fairs since 2008. Throughout my work, the human figure has been my primary subject. I see the body as a chronicle of our inner experience wrought in flesh and bone. Each triumph and failure endured are documented in a scar, a muscle, a gesture, a stare. Evidence of moments. In 2020 I began to further explore the sense of time. Building stratum upon stratum of figures and forms in each painting. While in that history some evidence is lost, what remains visible gives the notion of time, another evidence. I draw and paint to leave marks. Like the marks on a body or the marks in a cave.
